Plagarism Policy

Manuscripts submitted to INTAN Jurnal Penelitian Tambang must be free from plagiarism and any form of unethical appropriation of another author's work. Authors are therefore strongly encouraged to use reliable plagiarism-detection software to check their manuscripts for similarities before submission. The editorial team uses Turnitin to screen submitted manuscripts for plagiarism. The maximum acceptable similarity threshold is 25%, in accordance with the applicable guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (RISTEKDIKTI).

If plagiarism or substantial similarity is identified, the Editorial Board will conduct a further assessment of the manuscript based on the following guidelines:

  1. Minor plagiarism: If a manuscript contains short passages copied from another publication without appropriate attribution, the author will be notified and required to revise the text and provide proper citations and references.
  2. Substantial plagiarism: If a substantial portion of a manuscript is copied from another publication without appropriate attribution, the manuscript will be rejected. The author may also be prohibited from submitting or publishing manuscripts in INTAN Jurnal Penelitian Tambang in accordance with the journal's applicable editorial policies.

If an author is found to have simultaneously submitted the same or substantially overlapping manuscript to INTAN Jurnal Penelitian Tambang and another journal, whether the overlap is identified during the peer-review process or after publication, the journal may take the same action as described in Point 2 above.

Authors are therefore responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplicate submission, and substantial overlap with manuscripts submitted or published elsewhere.
